Let’s be real, when you’re deep in the world of junk journaling, the studio can start looking more like a paper tornado than a workspace. Vintage book pages, lace scraps, buttons, hand dyed paper… they were everywhere.
This week, I finally tackled the mess head on. And let me tell you, it was a journey! I snapped some before and after pics so you can witness the transformation (and feel better about your own creative chaos).
Before: Total craftocalypse. I couldn’t even see my desk.

After: Clear surfaces, oranized bins, and even a little wall shelf for my cute knick knacks!

Not only does the space feel more open, but I’ve already started creating with a fresh burst of energy. It’s amazing what a clean work space can do for your creativity!
If you’ve been putting off your own clean up, now is the time to get it done! You never know what forgotten treasures you’ll uncover under a pile of ephemera. (I found a whole stash of Little Golden Books I totally forgot I had!)
Stay tuned—new journals and other goodies (including some of the LGB I found!) are on the way, now that I can actually see what I have!
Happy journaling,
Carrie
